Stewart Family Christmas Party

Every year when I was growing up I couldn't wait to go to my Grandma Norma's house and tell Santa what I wanted. Now we have this party at my Mom's and let's just say the family has grown! Here is Grace lovin Santa. Santa came and Grace was standing right next to him and made sure she was the first one to sit on his lap. I barely got close enough to take any pictures! Grace asked Santa for a Tinker Bell doll.
Sarah at least walked up to Santa. Grace was, of course, all about helping her. Sarah asked for a Diego toy.

Abi, well just being Abi. Who really know what Abi wants for Christmas! Hopefully Santa!

A family picture. Can you believe it? We never have any of these. Some of you are probably even wondering what Jamie and I look like.

This is the face I get from Sarah. At least in this one her eyes are open.

Do I need to say more?

This is when Grace declared that Sarah is getting too big for her to really do this anymore.
Thanks mom for a great party!

Mall Santa

The last few years we have gone to the mall to see Santa with my siblings and their kids. We ate at the food court and then saw Santa. He had a little bit of a lazy eye, but other than that he was great!
No picture of Sarah with Santa because she would not go near him.

Number 6

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0VJaM3mm5Y
I forgot a number 6 on my tag, so here it is. I absolutally love this Budweiser commercials that I hear on the radio. I drive a lot for my work and whenever I hear one, even if I have heard it before I just crack up even though I am in the car all by myself. I am not smart enough to put this up on my blog so just click on the link.

Tag

So I was tagged awhile ago to do this tag and never got around to it, sorry Jenny! And now my sister has tagged me to do it so I guess I really should. I am just really not that interesting but here it goes.

*Link to the person who tagged you (http://rushingreview.blogspot.com)
*Post the rules on your blog
*Write six random things/unspectacular quirks about yourself
* Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them
* Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
* Let the tagger know when your entry is posted

1. I am copying my sister Heidi on this first one. I am also a picker. I love to pick scabs and pop pimples. Things of that nature. Jamie is always very nice and when he has something good to pop he lets me do it! Is that too much info?

2. I will sing and dance in my car like there is no tomorrow. I love it. My girls now do the same. It is hilarious. They love bands like Weezer, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Jewel.

3. I don't like medication. Weird huh cause I'm a nurse. I don't like to take any medication unless absolutally necessary. I just don't like the way it makes me feel and I feel like my body will somehow be stronger from fighting disease all on its own.

4. I am very easy to fool because I will believe anything. I always figure why would someone be lying to me?

5. It drives me crazy when lights are left on in the house. Thanks Dad.

I am not going to tag anyone in particular, but if any of you reading this would like to post the same on yours I would love to read it.

Abi 6 months

Our sweet little Abi is now 6 months old! I can hardly believe it, and I still have so much baby weight to lose. Is it still considered baby weight when the kid is 6 months old? Hopefully! Anyway, here is how big she is.
26 inches long
16.2 lbs
head was 16 1/2 cm.
She was 50% on pretty much everything. Which is weird because Grace and Sarah have always had really big heads, so I have just been waiting for Abi's to be really big. But so far not the case.

Noah's Blessing

So this last weekend Jamie and I had a little get a way to Logan for Noah's blessing. Noah is Jamie's brother's little boy. It was such a nice blessinbg and we had such a nice time! Here are some pics. Here is Abi with Noah. Abi is about 4 months older than Noah, but they are not far apart in size!
Here are the boys who participated in the blessing. No, my husband is not inactive. Just not a fan of staying dressed up for long, or at all for that matter.

Here is Sarah and Rachel at a festival we went to.

Grace on an old fashioned swing.

Abi enjoying the festival.

Rachel and Sarah in this cute old farm house.

Grace and Emily enjoying the farm house as well. When we were leaving they both announced that they wanted to be pioneers. However, I don't think it would be as fun as they are invisioning.

Here is the reason this weekend was so great! Big thanks to grandma who came and basically watched our children the whole weekend!

Sarah and her cookie, which she later ate by just licking the frosting and chocolate chips, YUMMY!

Grace showing off her cookie as well.

Grace being Santa's little helper by helping to sand the toys.

Gingerbread Men

Grace had her Christmas dance recital. They were gingerbreadmen. She loved it. We surprised her with flowers, which made her night. If any of you know Grace very well, you know she loves flowers.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. Jamie has declared this his favorite holiday. He said what could be better than getting up playing football eating a big lunch with one family, then eating a big dinner with another. Pie, and games later that night! It was a very fun day, and while sometimes it can be hard to go from place to place I am so grateful to have both of our families close! This is a picture of my parents and all of the grandchildren that were there. And no, Heather and I did not dress Morgan and Grace like that to begin with, by this point they had already gotten into the dress ups.
Here is Grace and Sarah with their cousins Emily and Rachel. These girls are such good friends. Emily and Grace are 3 weeks apart and Rachel and Sarah just 3 months. They have so much fun together.

Here is the spread at the Pruden household. There may have only been 6 adults attending this dinner, but yes there are 2 turkeys. One was a smoked turkey and I must say it was delicious!

Here is Jamie helping with the final preparations.

This is the smile I get from Sarah lately. Hard to get a picture with the eyes open.

Abi showing how much she enjoyed her sweet potatoes.

Embarrassing

So I am already getting that "Oh mom!" With the rolling of the eyes look from Grace, my 4 year old. Yesterday in the car she was looking a little sad in the back seat so I turned the music up and started dancing to the music and said come on Gracie dance with me! I'm sure I looked really cool, not lame. But yet she gave me this look, but she couldn't keep with it for long. She broke out into a laugh and then was just looking at me like I was crazy. That look I can handle.

Life Changes

No I am not pregnant or anything like that. I just wanted to give you all an update on how my first sacrament meeting alone went. No I am also not getting divorced. My husband has a new calling in our ward, he is in the bishopric. Which means he sits up on the stand. I have 3 children under the age of 4. I was hoping that my children would be perfect and that would be my blessing for allowing my husband to serve. They were not. They were not bad, but not perfect like I was hoping. However, I was blessed with patience. Which is something that I lack so much! I was very thankful for that. I was also blessed with so many people at our church offering to help. It is nice to feel loved. I truly do, and I know that my children do too. Thank you to everyone for your friendship and help through this time while I figure out what to do!

Camping in November

Where do you camping in November? Well we went to St. George. It was surprisingly warm enough. I have been bugging Jamie to go camping all summer. He goes all the time with the Young Men in our church for his calling there, but we never get to go! Since Abi was born in June, it has just not happened. So anyway, we finally made it. We went to Snow Canyon in St. George. We will definitely have to go back, it was so beautiful. Don't you just love Utah?
Here is Grace posing pre-hike.
Here is the reason we could not get a picture of these girls all together, way too distracted by the pretzels.

This is the picture I am talking about, way too much distratction.

Here is a picture of Emily and Grace, they are truly such good friends, it is so neat to watch them together.

Here is Sarah and Rachel. The hike was a little rocky, but they did surprisingly well!

Here is just a sweet picture of my sweet Sarah.

Here is another cousin picture.

Here is Jamie and Abi ready for the hike!

Halloween

The girls started off their Halloween by making popcorn balls with their grandma. They loved it! Here is all 3 girls before going trick or treating.
Here is Abi on Halloween. She had a last minute costume change. She was a dog, but she hated that costume because it covered her face really weird, so luckily I had this lion one laying around!
This is the best part of Sarah's costume, and I'm afraid this picture doesn't do it justice. We didn't even notice the padding in this costume until she tried it on. It was so hilarious to watch her walk around in this.
Here is Sarah. She loves elephants, so it was only appropriate that she was one!
Here is Grace. I loved this costume. Grace had requested to be a pink flower. Which amazingly enough I could not find one anywhere! So I did find this one and she thought that it would be ok.
All in all it was a very fun Halloween. It is so rewarding to have children. This was the first year that Grace and Sarah both really enjoyed trick or treating. It was so fun to watch Sarah follow her big sister around, like she so often does, and talk about all the fun they were having.

Pre-Halloween fun

This is a picture of something that we see at our house a lot. Sarah in Abi's face talking baby talk, and surprisingly enough Abi loving every minute of it.
Here is Grace and Sarah modeling their costumes, the best part of Sarah's costume is the padded butt. I will get a picture of that tonight and post later.

Here is Grace's cute pre-school class. Grace did not hesitate to just pose right herself right down in front.

Abi 4 month

This is not a picture of Abi at 4 months, but it is a cute picture of my cute mom with my chubby Abi. I have been meaning to post what Abi's stats were at her 4 month.
Height: 25
Weight: 14.8
Head: 40 1/2

Facebook

So I think what I really meant in my facebook profile when I said that I was interested in friendship was that I was interested in connecting with people I was already friends with. Anyone else feel the same way? I have now received several friend invitations from men in Guadalajara, Israel, and right here in Salt Lake City. Am I paranoid or is that weird?

Words of Wisdom

Santa lives at the North Pole. However there isn't a pool there it is just called the "North Pool." This is what I heard Grace tell Sarah in the car today on our way to church. It snowed last night so Grace thinks it will be Chirstmas any day now.

Show and Tell

Each week at Grace's school they study a letter. This week it was the letter N. So at the end of the week they take a show and tell that starts with that letter. So I asked Grace what she wanted to take for show and tell this week. She sat for a minute and then said, "I know mom, I'll take you because you're a nurse!" I thought this was so cute. So yesterday I got to go to school with Grace. I dressed in my scrubs and got to tell the kids about being a nurse. Grace was so excited and I was so happy to go with her. I thin it is these moments that you remember forever.

Tar Baby

So I completely forgot to blog about one of the funniest/sadest parts of our trip. The first morning we were there Jamie decided to take Grace and Sarah to see the pool while I finished getting ready. Just about two minutes after they left I could hear Sarah crying outside the door, so I opened it to find Jamie carrying her by her arms and she was covered in some mysterious substance. Tar, yes they were re surfacing the parking lot and when they went to go see the pool Jamie said ok, everyone make sure to stay on the sidewalk. This to a two year old of course means step into the street. Which she did, and since she is two she is not very coordinated so of course she fell face first into this newly finished parking lot. I so wished I had my camera but it was in the car. We hurry and stuck her in the tub and had to scrub her down. It came off luckily, but the poor thing had these red splotches all over her face for a few days. This picture was taken in the car after we got her cleaned up. If you look closely you can see the red spots. Poor thing! It is such a sad story, but it really was quite funny looking back.

Colorado Springs

We just got back from Colorado Springs, it was so much fun. Here are some of the pics.
Here is all of us at the Utah vs. Air Force game. It was so neat to go to a game there, I left feeling very patriotic, how can you not?
Abi enjoying her trip to the zoo.

Grace feeding a bird.

Sarah feeding the Giraffe.

Grace being swollowed by a fish!

Watch out fellow shoppers, Sarah means business!

Sarah driving the fire engine.

All three girls outside the Aquarium.

Grace outside of the Aquarium.

We had lunch with one of Jamie's YM who is now on a mission in Colorado Springs.

Here is Grace and Sarah at the Garden of the Gods.
So good to have some family togetherness. Our kids are getting so big I can hardly believe it. I don't realize that it's weird for my to have 3 kids and the oldest be only 4, but apparantely that is kind of weird outside of Utah. We got some looks from people like oh my goodness what are those people doing. Kind of funny the difference from state to state. Here we are pretty much the norm!
