Gordon B. Hinckley

I saw this video of Pres. Hinckley and thought it was really good. I have been so happy to have him as a prophet while I have grown up. I have learned many things from him, as I am sure many of you have.

Where does the time go?

So I have been thinking a lot lately about how fast time goes by! Maybe it's because I am pregnant with my third child and can just hardly believe it! I can't believe that Grace is as big as she is. Maybe that's also because she acts like she's older than I am, who knows. So I had all of these old pictures on an old computer that wasn't hooked up anymore and Jamie hooked it up for me yesterday so I could get the pictures off. This is a picture of Grace when she is 19 months old which is how old Sarah is. I thought this was funny because she climbed in this box with all of her stuffed animals and got in there all by herself, and was quite pleased. She is also wearing a necklace in this picture. Grace wore a necklace, or in most cases many necklaces every day for about 6 months. Even to church she would show up with these mardi gras beads! Now she is in Primary and stating all of these opinions. She seems so big, and I know she will only seem bigger when the baby comes. So anyway, like my sister Heather has been saying on her blog I just need to cherish every moment because they are gone so fast!

Another top five

Well it's been awhile since I have done a top five. This blog entry will include two top fives. I have been thinking lately about things I love about being a mother, and things that I have to admit I do miss from the days of pre-motherhood! Here are the lists.

Top 5 things I love about being a mom
  1. Seeing the world throught the eyes of a child.
  2. Loving someone more than I ever thought imaginable.
  3. Watching my children sleep.
  4. Hearing the giggle that comes from the belly.
  5. How fun kids are to squeeze.

Top 5 things I miss from the pre-motherhood days

  1. Showering with out children coming in.
  2. Going to the bathroom with out children coming in.
  3. Running errands with out children.
  4. Being able to stay out late.
  5. Being able to sleep in.

So at the end of this I want to say I truly do love being a mom, but I think we all have those moments were we can't believe how we took those things for granted. Do you have anything to add to the list?

It's A Girl!

Well Jamie and I had our ultrasound today and we are indeed having our third little girl! Jamie said as we were going in that he thought it was a girl. I really didn't know, even though I felt like Sarah and Grace were both girls. We are so happy to have another girl, although it does make me wonder if we will ever get a boy! When we came home Grace went into Sarah's room and said "Sarah we are going to have a little baby girl, a little sister Hooray!" So I think the girls will be happy with another girl. So if any of you have good ideas for a girls name don't be afraid to share. We had a hard enough time thinking of a name for Sarah! We had to bring her home from the hospital still with no name!

Copy Cat

It is just so funny to see how Sarah has to do Everything that Grace is doing! She just copies everything, she wants to be just like Grace. I, being the youngest of six, can relate. Growing up I always wanted to be doing everything my older sisters were. Even though they are 10 and 12 years older than I am! So anyway to explain the picture. Sarah had on a different shirt (one of hers) but when we were getting Grace dressed she started screaming to put on this shirt. It is hard to tell in the picture just how big the shirt is on her but it just cracked me up that she is already wanting to borrow Grace's clothes!

New Years Resolution

Well my goal for this coming year is to be more patient. This mainly is for my relationship with Grace. I can't say why exactly because I don't think we are that similiar but Grace can really push my buttons. Maybe it's because she's 3? I am usually a pretty patient person but for some reason I am not with Grace. I expect so much of her because she has always acted older than she is. When I look at Sarah I feel horrible for the things I expected of Grace at this age, mainly just because she could have conversations with me. Sarah just says Whee as we drive in the car and asks for Ba Ba which is bottle and Baby. So anyway, my goal is to try really hard to remember that Grace is 3 and have just a little more patience.

Happy New Year!

Here is Grace with her cousins Hadley and Riley
banging their pots and pans to celebrate the New Year.
Here is my Dad and my brother Blake basically spooning
while they are waiting for midnight to come.

Here is Grace with her cousin Cameron and Cameron's
cousin Blake playing Candyland.

Here is a picture of the sushi Jamie made!
Jamie had to do a lot to get ready for this
party since I had to work!

Here is a picture of a yummy drink my sister Heather made.
We had a fun New Years party, we first went to a pizza place. It was a lot of fun, even though there were definitely more children than adults! Then we came back to our house for some more yummy food and games. We also sang a little karaoke. Grace especially loved the banging of the pots and pans, so much so that she did it again last night when her cousin Emily was over to play.
