Happy 2nd Birthday Sarah!

We started off Sarah's birthday celebration by going to the park with her grandparents and her uncle Blake. Sarah loves slides so we thought this activity appropriate for her, and I love KFC so any excuse to eat that works for me!
Then we went back to our house and Grace "helped" Sarah open her presents. Grace got her this stuffed animal which Sarah loved and a book about Dogs because Sarah loves dogs, well at least the idea of dogs. Sometimes she's not so sure once they are close to her.

Then of course we needed to top off the evening with cake and ice cream. Elmo is always a favorite, I wish I could say I made this cake, but it just isn't true. Here are a few things about Sarah for those of you who don't know her very well.
1. Sarah loves Grace and will follow her around and do whatever Grace is doing.
2. She loves to laugh and have people laugh with her, or at her she doesn't really care.
3. She loves bananas. I can't keep them in the house! If it were up to her she would probably have 5 a day.
4. She has great manners. She always says thank you.
5. She says funny things like "Wo baby" and "No way"
6. She loves to go to bed. Sometimes she will even ask for it!
7. She loves to draw/color. Especially in pink and purple.
8. She loves to sing.
9. She is a great big sister. Whenever Abi is crying Sarah comes to tell me that the baby needs help.
10. She knows what she wants. She already will tell me what shoes she does or doesn't want to wear, same with the clothes.
Happy Birthday Sarah, We Love You!

Vacuum

So I bought a new vacuum two years ago. The first year it worked great, then the last year it worked alright. Now it is completely dead. Does anyone have a certain vacuum that they really like? I thought about getting a Dyson, but my mother-in-law has one and says she hasn't thought it has been all that great. So if any of you out there have any recommendations my carpet would greatly appreciate it.

Lots of Love

Grace has definitely been showing Abi the love. Today Grace made Abi some pictures and some valentines. As you can see Abi is very appreciative of the valentines.
Last night Grace asked me if Abi started with B and I told her that it started with A and was actually very easy to spell and told her how. This morning she came out with this valentine for Abi with her name on it. I thought it was so cute.

Grace has been enjoying a lot of one on one time with her grandparents. This is a picture of her having her bubble bath at Grandma Stewarts.

Abi update

I have had some requests for my blogging. Here are some pictures of Abi, sorry they aren't great. But you can see her face a little better. Also I forgot to say how big Abi was. She was 8 lbs 4 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. None of my children have been very long when born, not really sure why. Abi was 7 lbs 10 oz. when leaving the hospital but due to my creamy milk she was already back to 8 lbs 1 oz. yesterday. We had to take her to the Dr. to see about her jaundice. The Dr. said it appeared she was eating well and wasn't concerned! Abi is a little cross eyed in this one, but this is a picture of her in her swing, this is Grace's little hand in the picture. Wherever Abi is, Grace is not far behind.
This is Abi the other night before bed.

Abigail Emma Pruden

It finally happened! I shouldn't make it sound worse than it was, it's not like I was overdue yet or anything but hey I was ready. Very early, around 3 am, Sunday morning I started having contractions. We got to the hospital at about 8:10, and Abigail was born at 9:51. It was by far my best labor, which I am very grateful for! Here are some pictures, more to come! This is me while in labor, obviously in between contractions. Thus the smile.

Here is me with Abigail just a little after she was born.

Here is the whole family, with two very proud sisters.

Sorry for poor blogging

Just wanted to quickly say sorry for not updated my blog in forever, I think I kept thinking or hoping rather that I would have this baby and then just blog about that! But no, I am still pregnant! I used to think this baby might come early, like Sarah did, but now I am thinking I will probably just be pregnant forever. Other mothers, or women who are pregnant can you relate? I remember feeling this way when I was pregnant with Grace who was born a day before her due date. Everyone I saw would say, "Wow you're still pregnant!" and I would smile but really be thinking yep Einstein! Thanks for pointing it out. When it goes for this long it for some reason gets harder for me to imagine that it will ever end! I am also at a hard stage, where I don't really think I am ready to have the baby here, but I am really done being pregnant! Anyway, here are a few updates of what we have been doing!

T-Ball

Well Grace is playing T-ball with her good friends Jasmine and Duncan. She has had so much fun so far. She has a pink mitt, pink ball, and pink bat. Jamie is helping with the coaching. I think he is enjoying this experience of having one of our kids involved in sports. He is quickly becoming very outnumbered at our house. I am not really sure what this is that Grace is holding,
or why it is in the picture except that she loves
how sparkly it is.
Here is a picture of Grace at bat. She would not
even think about swinging at that ball until
Bry, her coach, got her pink bat from her mom.

End of schoolyear

Grace had her end of the year program at school, they had worked for so long on all of their songs. They did a great job. Grace was sad to leave this school but is excited to go to the pre-school that is across the street next year, a lot of kids from the neighborhood go there, so I think she'll really like it.

FHE at its best!

For our Family Home Evening activity awhile ago we introduced Grace to Smores, again. That's what's fun about kids, from year to year they don't really remember so they have lots of new experiences all the time! This was a lot of fun, even though if I remember correctly this was one of those days that it was around 90 degrees.
